Rinku is a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Toronto, and a Scientist-Biostatistician at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto, Canada. As a mom of two children, math has always been a fun part of their life, and good math questions have led to many interesting dinner table family discussions.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she started creating fun math word problems for her children and very recently has started sharing these problems, along with video solutions on Instagram. Questions cover topics in grades 4 through 12, however these problems can be enjoyed by anyone!
The goal is to encourage math to be a fun family activity. At times, kids will also create and share their own math word problems, which will be posted on the site for everyone to work on.
